Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Conveyancing Lawyer with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our client�s expanding practice. The successful candidate will take on a Team Lead role and be responsible for managing the entire branch�s conveyancing operations. This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in subsale transactions, loan documentation, and developer project work, who is ready to step into a leadership role that combines legal expertise with operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

1) Lead and manage the branch�s conveyancing team, including junior lawyers and support staff, ensuring high performance and continuous development.

2) Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of property-related documents, including sale and purchase agreements, loan agreements, and developer contracts.

3) Provide strategic legal advice to clients on conveyancing matters, including title issues, property financing, and regulatory compliance.

4) Serve as the main liaison between clients, real estate agents, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely completion of transactions.

5) Keep abreast of developments in property and land law, and ensure the team operates in line with current legal standards and industry best practices.

6) Take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the branch, including team management, performance monitoring, and workflow efficiency.

Key Requirements

1) Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in conveyancing, particularly in subsale transactions, loan documentation, and developer projects.

2) Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a conveyancing team, with experience overseeing branch-level operations preferred.

3) Proven expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating subsale agreements, sale and purchase agreements, loan agreements, and related documentation.

4) Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of mentoring junior lawyers and support staff.

5) Deep understanding of property law, including title issues, property financing, and regulatory compliance.

6) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, financial institutions, and real estate professionals.

7) Proactive, client-focused approach with a commitment to efficiency, accuracy, and high-quality service delivery.

8) Ability to stay updated on legal and industry developments and apply best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
