Position Summary
You will be the senior member of a legal team supporting business in various projects for our merchant and e-wallet clients to increase traffic and engagement. This may include SaaS services, marketing services, advertising and distribution services, framework agreements, generic procurement and other non-structured collaborations.

You will be working side-by-side with brilliant minds in a dynamic and challenging environment, to support the development and roll-out of novel products or initiatives.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners such as LegalTech and Product to constantly iterate and find ways to optimize and streamline processes and workstreams, such as the implementation of contract digitization and automation.

You will contribute to a collegiate, collaborative environment with other team members and stakeholders such as Compliance, AML and Privacy.

You will be a sensible advisor and partner to Business and senior management, allowing them to make informed decisions based on risk-based approach and other overarching corporate policies.

Major Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of various product service agreements. This may include preparing, reviewing and negotiating SaaS services agreement, marketing agreement, procurement agreement, generic collaborations and other types of contracts.
- Assisting with contract management, including organizing and maintaining contract files, tracking contract deadlines, and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including business development, product, marketing, operations, risk, and finance teams, to ensure that contracts align with company objectives and policies.
- Conducting legal research and providing legal and regulatory advice on various product structuring and contract-related matters, including appropriately instructing external counsel where necessary.
- Keeping abreast of changes in laws and regulations and providing updates to the legal team and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborating with LegalTech team to support and implement legal digitization and automation initiatives including creation of standard form documents, knowledge management
- Some occasional travel to Singapore, China or other locations may be expected
Key Requirements
Yours areas of experience, knowledge and expertise that matter the most:
- 5-8 years PQE, whether in private practice or in-house environment
- Strong understanding of contract law, and related legal principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate in English for internal communications, document review, research and drafting, and in Chinese (Mandarin) for internal communications.
- Positive attitude, with a genuine hunger to learn.
- Disciplined approach to record-keeping and knowledge management.

Good to have:
- Relevant experience in or exposure to marketing-related products (such as advertising, media buying, co-branded joint promotions) or e-commerce, payments, finance or technology industry
