1. Document Preparation
- Prepare legal documents for execution by the Company and/or customers of the department, subsidiaries and other departments.
- Drafting, reviewing, commenting and proposing amendments for review and clearance by the Head of the Department for execution by relevant parties.

2. Legal Advisory & Compliance
- Provision of legal advice, its applications and enforceability and to clarify any vagueness on points of law, dispute or proceedings threatened against the Company.
- Provide updates in laws and any changes to existing laws and regulations to the Company and officers of the Company and/or customers of the department.
- Monitor and review records and transactions submitted by customers of the department in order to identify potential or actual problems of non-compliance.
- Advise supervisor to identify errors, improper conduct or compliance exceptions to regulatory requirements.
- Identify and assist the supervisor to resolve conflicts of interest that arise involving the Company or customers of the department.

3. Merger & Acquisitions
- Assist supervisor with review, comment, negotiation and amendment of the contents of prepared documents.
- Highlight to the supervisor/Company and/or customers of the department, the legal implications, enforceability and compliance of laws.
- Participate in proposal preparation including due diligence to ensure proposals are in compliance with laws and authority given to the Company and/or customers of the department.

4. Financing
- Assist supervisor with review, comment, negotiation and amendment of the contents of prepared documents.
- Highlight to the supervisor/Company and/or customers of the department, the legal implications, enforceability and compliance of laws.

5. External Liaison
- Liaises with external legal firms to convey the requests and decisions made by the Company and/or customers of the department.
- Liaises with external advisors including financial advisors in relation to corporate exercises proposed to be undertaken by the Company and/or involving the Company and/or customers of the department.

6. Management and Administration of the Department
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on the progress of assigned work;
- Prepare, review and propose comments and finalise the Policies and Procedures of the department and such other policies and procedures to be used by the department.
- Monitor and ensure compliance and adherence to the Policies and Procedures of the department by the staff of the department and the Company and/or customers of the department.
- Report to the supervisor any non-compliance of the Policies and Procedures.
- Prepare for proposal and review by the supervisor, budget for the department.
- Review the update on the development of projects for which assistance had been requested by the Business Development division and/or other customers of the department.
-Minimum Qualification: LLB/Bachelor of Laws but called to the Bar candidates are preferred
-Years of experience: 12-15 PQE
-Candidates with experience in public listed company is mandatory.
