Provide corporate legal services for companies in Malaysia onsite and offsite to promote and protect business interest in accordance with applicable corporate policies, procedures and applicable laws.


Legal Support

- Assist to review, vet and draft business contracts and legal documents, including supporting negotiations of business contracts for Malaysia group companies

- Liaise with business functions and provide general legal support and sound advice to mitigate legal risks

- Conduct legal research and monitor legal developments applicable to business.

- Prepare reports of legal jobs carried out by GLC


Compliance

- Localise global/regional compliance policies and materials, including translation to Bahasa Malaysia.

- Support and carry out compliance training to Malaysia group companies (including new hires)

- Assist and support compliance investigations


Operations

- Carry out ad hoc related projects, assignments and administrative tasks as assigned

- Bachelors degree in law from a reputable university.

- Certificate in Legal Practice or its equivalent.

- Minimum 3-5 years post qualification experience in handling litigation and corporate/commercial work.

- Strong contract drafting skills and possesses good analytical skills with strong command of written & spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

- Thorough and meticulous and able to work well in a team.

- Self-Starter, creative, pro-active and enthusiastic.

- Computer literate in Microsoft Office (including Powerpoint and Excel).

- Experience in IR & ER
