1)Market Research and Analysis:

-Conduct market research to identify trends, potential clients, and new business opportunities.
-Analyze competitor strategies and market dynamics to develop effective business development strategies.

2)Client Relationship Management:

-Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
-Identify key clients and develop strategies to expand business with them.
-Act as a liaison between clients and the legal team to ensure client satisfaction.

3)Strategic Planning:

-Develop and implement business development plans aligned with the firm's overall strategy.
-Work with senior management to set realistic goals and objectives for business growth.
-Monitor and report on the progress of business development initiatives.

4)Marketing Collaboration:

-Collaborate with external party(ies) to develop and execute marketing campaigns.
-Utilize digital marketing, social media, and other channels to enhance the firm's visibility.
-Provide input on the development of marketing materials and collateral.

5)Client Feedback and Market Intelligence:

-Gather client feedback to improve services and client satisfaction.
-Stay informed about changes in the legal landscape and provide market intelligence.

6)Budget Management:

-Manage and allocate the budget for business development initiatives.
-Track expenses and ensure cost-effective strategies are employed.


-Proven experience in business development, preferably in the legal industry or related fields.
-A track record of successfully expanding market presence and driving growth in regional or similar contexts.


-Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Law, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

3)Market Knowledge:

-In-depth understanding of the legal landscape, industry trends, and market dynamics, especially in Malaysia.
-Familiarity with regional business practices and cultural nuances.

4)Networking Skills:

-Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish connections within the Malaysian and /or other jurisdictions' legal and business community.
-Existing regional connections and networks are advantageous.

5)Strategic Thinking:

-Proven ability to develop and implement effective business development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
-Experience in market entry planning and execution.

6)Communication Skills:

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Malay or other local languages is a plus.
-Ability to tailor communication strategies to resonate with diverse audiences.


-Flexibility and adaptability to navigate and respond to changes in the business environment.
-Ability to customize approaches based on the unique requirements of the Malaysian market.
